Veterinarian/Internal Medicine Specialist

Dr. Gemma Cock grew up in the United Kingdom prior to moving to the United States with her family. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from CalPoly-Pomona before returning to the UK for veterinary school. In 2016, she graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, in London, and then completed an internship in Arizona and a yearlong fellowship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky. Most recently, she served as an internal medicine specialist at the University of Florida.

 When she’s not working Dr. Cock enjoys spending time with her two homebred Connemaras, Lily and Bazzle, whom she trains and competes with in three-day eventing. She also has two cats, Luna and Russell and is drawn to any kind of outdoor activity, including hiking and kayaking.

As of March 31, 2023, Bend Equine Medical Center will be discontinuing our small animal veterinary division other than chiropractic and acupuncture. As always, we continue to proudly serve as Central Oregon's premier equine hospital and offer around-the-clock care for your horses and equids.
